TRIAL OF THE SUN QUEEN by Nisha J. Tuli 

The '' Trial of The Sun Queen" by Nisha J. Tuli is the first book of the Aftefacts of Ouranos series. The story follows a young girl, Lor, who has been a prisoner in the Aurora realm's prison for twelve years. She would give anything she can to escape and take revenge of the Aurora King that imprisoned her and made her endure twelve years of torment. Suddenly, one day she wakes up and finds herself  in the Sun King's palace, where without knowing it, she will compete against 9 other women for the role of the Sun Queen. In the beginning, Lor does not want to be a part of this but the king tells her that if she refuses to participate, she will be sent back in the prison where she came from. Desperate not to return to that place and win her freedom, she finally agrees. But the trial has 4 challenges before the final round as her competitors are trained their whole life for that moment and she is dramatically behind on knowlege and skills. Lor must win because if she loses she dies. With that in mind,she trains and reads so she can be ready for the challenges. After a while, she finds herself in love with the king but she feels that something is wrong. Why would they abduct her, and none of the other imprisoned girls and why is the king obsessed with her wining?Lor must find out the truth and survive to be the Sun Queen .
