Maria wasn't a popular girl. She believed that her mother prefered her sister more than her. One day her mother found out that her youngest daughter had an amazing voice. She encouraged her to sing so she could earn money for their family.
Maria's mother tried to sign her up for some voice lessons on the Ethnic Conservatory in Athens, but Maria didn't get accepted because she had never done lessons before. So her mother decided to send her on some private lessons
The first time her teacher heard her voice she was left speachless. Her voice was the most amazing her teacher had ever heard. Maria not only succeded into singing the hardest notes in a really short time, but also the way of her singing would touch your heart.
Maria tried again for lessons in the Ethnic Conservatory and this time she got accepted! One night she sang on the stage of the most important opera in the world, LA SCALA, in Milan. While she was singing the audience was on the egde of their seat listening peacefully to her because her voice travelled them into a more amazing world. In the end of her performance the audience applauded and cheered for Maria.
