The Best Swimmer In The World                                                    

Have you ever wondered who is the best swimmer in the world? Probably one of the best swimmers in the world is Michael Felps. Felps,-38 years old- is a really able, American swimmer who has won 28 medals in the Olympics. Specifically 23 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

 

He has also broken the world record for 4×200m freestyle, 200m butterfly, 4×100m mixed for men and 100m butterfly. His first victory was at the age of 14, at 200m butterfly (1:54.58).

At the Olympics in 2004(Greece, Athens), Phelp’s target was to beat the world’s record at the most  golden medals in the Olympics (it was 7 medals). Suddenly, Phelps didn’t manage to beat his target and lost the prize of one million dollars. But he wasn’t disappointed and also stated: “How can I be  disappointed? I won the 2 best freestyle swimmers!” 

 

Michel Phelps stopped his career in 2016 after his final Olympics and stood out for the 8th year in the magazine “Swimming World ” titled: “the swimmer of the year”.
