Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence or AI for short has taken the world by storm the last couple of years. Many people use it to automate essays, correct grammatical errors or even do their homework, but others wonder how it actually works.

The “Artificial” in Artificial Intelligence refers to the fact that its intelligence comes from the internet, where it scans a large percentage of it to teach itself how to mimic human speech and act like humans. To make their AIs more sophisticated, companies make it scan a larger percentage of the internet. But sometimes it can get out of hand just like how twitter made an AI that was supposed to interact with the twitter community in a friendly way, instead some twitter users made the AI start swearing and it even tried to start a war! Not all AI is like that though, for example the AI “Grammarly” helps people correct their grammatical mistakes to improve their grasp of the English language and “Chatgpt” help people write essays.

What I’m trying to say here is that not all AI is harmful and while it could replace a lot of people’s jobs, it could also help a lot of people’s lives in never before seen ways.
