A lazy meal


Your friends are coming by for dinner and you are bored and on a budget? Don’t worry we found you the perfect trio for a lazy but delicious meal. But don’t you worry all the ingredients are easily accessible and I bet that you all have them at home.

 At first we’ve got our appetizer which isn’t other than “Pigs in a blanket”. An all time classic finger food, that is made in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Hot dogs

Any kind of pastry puff

Melted butter,(for decoration)

 Preparation

Preheat the oven

Put the hot dogs in the dough and roll it

Place the Pigs on a pan and bake them for 12 minutes at 350c.

And just like that your appetizer is flaming hot and ready to be eaten.

  Now what about our main dish? It is as easy as it could be. So the perfect recipe for a very simple dinner is stuffed sweet potatoes with rotisserie chicken and your favorite BBQ sauce, then top them with Gouda for a healthy chicken dinner you can enjoy long into fall and beyond.

Ingredients

4 medium sweet potatoes

1 tbsp.olive oil

 salt/pepper

2 c. shredded chicken

1/2 c. barbecue sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 c. shredded smoked Gouda

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375°.

 Place sweet potatoes on a large baking sheet, Season them

Bake until tender,

Slice along top of each sweet potato and push in both ends to create a well.

In a medium bowl, toss chicken with barbecue sauce and garlic. Stuff into sweet potatoes, then top with Gouda. Return to oven and bake until cheese is melty and chicken is warmed. 

Finally it’s time for the dessert, because who doesn’t love a finishing touch in a meal?And the only thing you need is some leftovers.

Ingredients

550g sliced white bread, crusts removed

Unsalted butter, at room temperature

6 eggs

60g caster sugar

2 tsp cocoa, sifted, plus extra to serve

140g dark chocolate buttons

300ml pure cream

1 tsp vanilla bean paste

300ml milk

Preparation

Preheat oven to 160°C.

Spread both sides of the bread with butter and cut each slice in half widthwise.

Place the eggs and sugar in a large bowl and whisk until combined, then stir in cocoa and half of the chocolate.

.Place the cream, vanilla in a small pan over medium-high heat and bring just to a simmer. While stirring gently with a whisk, pour the hot cream mixture over the egg mixture and stir continuously until the chocolate has melted. Stir in the milk to cool the mixture..

Arrange bread upright in a pan.Pour chocolate cream mixture over, making sure all bread is coated. Set aside

Bake until edges are set but the center has a wobble. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly. Dust with cocoa and serve with ice cream.
