ANCIENT TORTURE TECHNIQUES

WARNING: The article is made for fun purposes. These techniques are not meant for you to use on your teachers or any other living beings surrounding you. If you want to torture them, be creative, you got this. Plus I am not mentally challenged. I am just inspired by all of these crazy things humans did in the past and by our amazing historian Mrs S. . I repeat they are:

NOT MEANT FOR OTHER HUMANS BEINGS

1:Pushing off a cliff:

Well that's a classic, so simple but stays useful even in our days and has very high efficiency. What would we do without it, no guillotine, no hanging, everything would be so boring. One of the best things is that even if the victim survives there is a chance of having a fatal injury afterwards. However you can't be 100% sure that the job is finished. Lastly it has a very nice aesthetic, it's so satisfying pushing someone off a clif(not that I have personal experience).

2: Crushed by elephants:

This is an interesting one, maybe not that classic but it has its own special values. It's way too expensive but then you can be sure whether the person survives or not. It's not the best way to take someone out. However no one can deny that whoever did it seemed powerful and wealthy. Once again it is too much. It could have been done way easier. Lastly it is not possible today, except if you have a large stadium and at least 10 elephants.

3:Ling chi:

Ling chi is an unheard Chinese technique that is also known as the “death by a thousand cuts” and it's just that. The victim has his body tied to a post and then they start slowly and painfully cut his limbs, at the verge of his pain, they finally stop the pain, by either stabbing the victim's heart or decapitation. We personally can't find anything negative about it, except that it's risky. However you enjoy every moment.

4: Poena Cullei:

So this is a very interesting technique. Personally it has a very lame name, despite being extremely cool. So this is an ancient roman technique that was used to punish ones that killed their own family. So basically they tied you in a sack with a large number of animals, including a dog, a monkey, a snake, and a rooster. Then to make sure the job was done they threw the sack in the water. It is very expensive and in our days almost impossible.

5: Boiling:

To start with, boiling others is extremely controversial. Most people believe it's fascinating, extravagant and gives you the revenge you need. However things are nothing like that. It's risky, really difficult to do and when you are done you have a total mess to clean up. It's really so over-appreciated, just because everyone knows about boiling in physics and the kitchen they think it's unique and one of a kind. While some of those statements may be true, I believe that boiling is boring and there are definitely lots of better ways to do the job.

6)Rat torture:

Ok so if you are disguised then i suggest you skip in the next technique because this is spooky, disgusting and pure evil. So our wise ancestors had invented a very creative way to punish others. They would cut a victim's stomach in a way that they felt cruciating pain but remained fresh. When they reach the stomach they would unleash some hungry or diseased rats to the inside of the victim's body and then seal the body with a bucket so that the rats don't escape. Then the rats would feast on the victim from the inside. You just relax, drinking a smoothie as the rats do the job slowly and painfully. The only drawbacks are that it's not easy to open a hole to someone's body very easily and also you have to warry about the rats after they are done.

7)Brazen bull:

Now that's one technique with an interesting and describing name. That is because it is just that. A Brazen bull, where they put the victim in its body and then through it all together in flames. That's expensive too, and I guess it's not that needed. I just think it's not worth it, so.

8)The saw:

This is one of those things that is pretty much exactly what you think it is. A victim would hang up by their legs, only to be sawed completely in half by two very mean people. You'd think this wouldn't be as bad as some of the things on this list (because you would die kind of quickly), but often times, the executioners would stop half-way through, before the saw reached major arteries in the abdomen, to turn a quick and horribly painful death into a slow and ridiculously painful death.

9)Impalement:

The victim was forced to sit on a sharp stake that was then slowly raised upright. The stake would be carefully positioned to pierce the body, usually entering through the rectum or vagina, but avoiding vital organs, so that gravity would slowly draw the victim down the stake over hours or even days until the stake emerged from the shoulder, throat, or mouth, resulting in a prolonged and excruciating death. The victim would literally beg for the mercy of quick death. Now if someone would give it to them it would be a really hard choice…

10)Drawing and quartering:💯

SIMPLY MY FAVOURITE. Drawing and quartering was a popular method ,among the rich, to punish law-breakers. The victim would have executioners to draw them to four parts, each with one limb. Then they would tie each part to a horse. They would then set the horses to run free in 4 different directions (North, West etc). The victim would suddenly be cut in for, or quartered, spreading horror and far to everyone seeing ¼ of a man carried by a mighty horse. So extreme. So interesting. PERFECTION IN ITS FULL GLORY. To whoever who dares to say that it was expensive, firstly no one

+1White torture:

Readers, prepare, cause we got something really innovative and brilliant. It may be more modern but it's certainly one of the best techniques here. In that cruel psychological punishment, mostly done in Iran and the USA, they let victims, alone in a white, soundless, empty room, for days or even months. Many that went through this torture for longs periods of time would forget basic information, like their loved ones and some words, in extreme situations some people went completely brain dead. Everyone who experienced it would forever be haunted by memories of this unique torture. Like almost everything else in this list it is very expensive . However it is definitely one of my personal favourites.
