Forest Fires in California

As the new year came so did the forest fires in California. The year 2025 will be remembered due to the devastating fires that destroyed thousands of houses and left many people homeless. With more than 600 fires and nearly 60,000 acres of land burnt in only four months since the year started and with 29 fatalities the local residents are in fear of being left without a home.

But what are the causes of these wildfires?

Well, there are a lot of explanations. According to CAL FIRE the causes are intense jet-streams coming from the ocean and the dry atmosphere that helps the spread of fires. Also during spring the weather was warmer and drier than normal. California experienced below-normal rainfall, a notable heat wave at the end of May.

Whatever the cause really is, these fires are destructive for the local population as living in California has become nearly  imposible.
