The history of Euroleague dates back to the early '50s. Over the decades, the competition evolved in format and organisation, eventually becoming the modern Euroleague we know today. It officially adopted this name (Euroleague) in 2000, making the start of its modern driven era.
🏀Does Greece take part in Euroleague?
Yes, Greece takes part in Euroleague. Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are the greek teams. Panathinaikos has 7 wins and Olympiacos has 3. In the last season 2024-25 Panathinaikos won Anadolu Efes in the quarterfinals and earned a ticket for the final four, where Panathinaikos played against Fenerbahce. Unfortunately, Panathinaikos lost. In the last season 2024-25 Olympiacos won Real Madrid in the quarterfinals and earned a ticket for the final four, where Olympiacos played against Monaco. Olympiacos lost. After that Olympiacos played against Panathinaikos to earn the third position. Olympiacos won and Panathinaikos got the fourth position in Europe
