Halloween
Halloween is celebrated on the 31st of October and some people believe that it originated as a celebration for the eve of the All Saints' Day, the 1st of November, to honour their saints but also the memory of the people's dead ancestors. It evolved to be characterized by the spooky costumes children wear and the carved pumkins which represent the irish myth of Jack o' Lantern, a man who deceived Devil and he could go neither to Paradise nor to Hell. Kids carry their pumkins and visit houses asking their owners '' trick or treat'' to get candies and other treats. Generally nowadays, during Halloween catholics, atheists and protestants like to visit ''haunted'' places, decorate their houses with bats, skeletons and scary items.
